Surfcam Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach in San Diego is a fully exposed shore break that has consistent waves. Winter offers the better conditions for surfing with the north, west and southwest swells. The summer can be a bummer as the swells come in from the steep south and bypass Pacific Beach. Groundswells are more typical than windswells and the perfect swell point is from the southwest. The set waves break with both left and right handers. Best to avoid when the tide is low as it will be mostly closed out grindy waves. It's frequently packed there with lots of beginners but saying that, if you rip you can surf all their waves.

Look for north to northwest and southwest swell directions but much like Mission Beach avoid straight west swells.
